ORION is a modular vehicle tracking system based on GPS (Global Positioning System) with built-in GSM/GPRS connectivity.

ORION locates the vehicle position and speed at programmed intervals. Data can be sent in real time through a wireless WAN, or stored for batch communication to a hand held computer.

They can be displayed and post-processed on any GIS (Geographic Information System) for actual route analysis and optimisation. Further applications include geographical marketing to analyse sales results and to target the most appropriate areas of activity.

Combined with a DAT500, DAT400 or any other palm computer Orion® becomes the vehicle wireless gateway to your corporate information system.

It allows to implement a comprehensive real-time tracking and mission dispatching system for your mobile workforce such as needed by parcel collection and dispatching, field service, mobile sales and home delivery.

ORION comes in an easy to install standard car-radio case, featuring an LCD display, keyboard and 2 PCMCIA slots. Being based on a modular design, it allows other peripherals like van monitor and navigation systems to be added or connected.
